Fatal Attraction
The video’s editing style leans into a dark, abstract tone, creating a sense of mystery that feels both unsettling and intriguing. By playing with shadows, light, and fragmented transitions, it leaves a lot up to the viewer’s interpretation. The way the narrative is pieced together feels intentionally vague, allowing the audience to explore the deeper layers beneath the surface.
The dark undertones aren’t just for effect—they reflect a complex world that’s filled with tension and uncertainty. The abstract approach invites the viewer to engage with the unknown, pushing them to sit with their own curiosity and discomfort. In this way, the video goes beyond just visuals, offering a more reflective experience that encourages emotional reflection.
The Plastic Dance video was also adapted using TouchDesigner to create an audio-reactive experience synchronized with a MIDI piano. In this setup, the audio wavelengths directly influence and randomize the playback of different clips from the video, making the visuals dynamically respond to the music in real time. This interplay between sound and imagery creates a fluid and evolving experience where each note of the piano alters the visual narrative.
The project serves as a representation of what a full-scale installation might look like, offering a mock-up demo for a potential interactive visual installation. By blending audio and visuals, *Plastic Dance* explores the relationship between sound and movement, with each element enhancing and reshaping the other, creating an immersive environment for viewers to engage with.
